Color Me Wonderful: Pencil Grip Accents

If you have children in elementary school, they usually have a deep appreciation for pencil grip accents and may trade pencil grips in different shapes and colors. Your children might compete for the most vibrant or different-shaped pencil grip.

Pencil grips differ between a funky, square shape to long, cylindrical and foamy padding. The cylindrical pencil grips are smooth or have random lumps along the grip. There are also many mechanical pencils and pens that have grips built in for more comfortable writing. Depending on your preference, you may wish to add an extra grip to give your finger a cushion for long nights of hand-writing notes.

Pencil grips change the comfort level of writing by hand. While no longer common, pencil grips are still an excellent way to maintain steady pressure on the writing utensil.
